Crochet Ugg Boots for Kids |Free Pattern

This crochet child slippers is the child version of the baby boots worked flat. This boots works up super fast, its very beginner friendly and gives your kids feet extra warmth.

With this pattern, you can make your kids adorable boots just working in rows and it’s more convenient and faster than working in the round and you can be sure that your boots will come out the same size. Heck Yeah! You won’t have to make a third one just to have two match up!

The instructions for size 7 inches sole that fits 5-6 year old kids is written below. The pdf pattern contains 7 sizing instructions from 5.0 inches to 8 inches sole and it also contains photo tutorials. Want to make the adult version? Find the free written pattern here.

Worsted weight yarn – 100g

Ch: Chain

Sc: Single Crochet

Hdc: Half double crochet

Dc: Double crochet

Dc2tog: Double crochet two together

BLO: Back loops only

Pattern Notes:

  • Ch 1 or Ch 2 at the beginning of the row does not count as a stitch.
  • The slipper is worked flat.
  • The 6th row is used to determine the right side when sewing the slipper. The side with the visible ridges is the right side.

Ch 41

Row 1:1 Sc in the 2nd chain from the hook, Mark the stitch with a stitch marker, 1 Sc in each stitch across. 40 stitches.

Row 2: Ch 1, turn. 2 Sc in the 1st stitch, mark the very first stitch, 1 Sc in the next 16 stitches, 2 Sc in each of the next 6 stitches, 1 Sc in the next 16 stitches, 2 Sc in the last stitch. 48 stitches.

Row 3: Ch 1, turn. 2 Sc in the 1st stitch, mark the very first stitch, 1 Sc in the next 20 stitches, 2 Sc in each of the next 6 stitches, 1 Sc in the next 20 stitches, 2 Sc in the last stitch. 56 stitches.

Row 4: Ch 1, turn. 2 Sc in the 1st stitch, mark the very first stitch, 1 Sc in the next 9 stitches, 1 Hdc in the next 8 stitches, 1 Dc in the next 7 stitches, 2 Dc in each of the next 6 stitches, 1 Dc in the next 7 stitches, 1 Hdc in the next 8 stitches, 1 Sc in the next 9 stitches, 2 Sc in the last stitch. 64 stitches.

Row 5: Ch 1, turn. 2 Sc in the 1st stitch, mark the very first stitch, 1 Sc in the next 10 stitches, 1 Hdc in the next 11 stitches, 1 Dc in the next 20 stitches, 1 Hdc in the next 11 stitches, 1 Sc in the next 10 stitches, 2 Sc in the last stitch. 66 stitches.

Row 17: turn. Skip 2 chains, Hdc in the 3rd chain from the hook. Hdc in each stitch across. 28 stitches.

Row 18: Ch 2, turn. Hdc in the first stitch, mark stitch, Hdc in each stitch across. 28 stitches.

Row 19: Ch 2, turn. Hdc in the first 2 stitches, Ch 1, skip 1, Hdc in the remaining stitches across. 28 stitches.

Row 20: Ch 2, turn. Hdc in the first stitch and in each stitch until the chain space, Hdc in the chain space, Hdc in the last 2 stitches.
