Learn to crochet the pleated baby cardigan with this easy to follow free crochet baby cardigan pattern.
DESIGN
This is the third crochet baby cardigan pattern that I have designed. The first is the easy peasy crochet baby cardigan and the second one is the textured baby cardigan.
The crochet pleated baby cardigan is a very simple pattern, as it makes use of simple crochet stitches. It is worked top down. The pleated detail adds a lot of beauty to it, and what’s more? The pleats do not require any sewing! Yes they are no sew crochet pleats. There is a video tutorial to help with explaining the pleats better.
ELEGANT AND COZY
This crochet baby cardigan pattern is the definition of elegance. The crochet pleats gives the baby cardigan some kind of girly beauty and elegance.
It is also super cozy, it promise to keep your little princess warm all year round.
YARN
I used about 200g of milk cotton yarn. It’s a soft acrylic yarn. Its perfect for crocheting baby items. You can use any Light worsted weight yarn of your choice to make your own pleated baby girl cardigan.
MAKE IT YOUR OWN
I love the different shades of this pleated baby cardigan that has been made by my testers. You can make yours in one colour or use variegated yarn or even scrap yarn. Just like the one below.
SIMPLICITY
The whole crochet baby cardigan is worked in Double Crochet and use a bit of other crochet stitches like Single Crochet. The pleat is no sew, so you can be sure to get this crochet baby cardigan perfectly right. It also has a simple crochet edging that adds to its beauty.
SIZES
The pleated crochet baby cardigan pattern contains instructions for four sizing options which are 0-6(6-12,12-18,18-24) months.
This blog post however contains instructions for size 0-6 months in both US and UK terms. Please scroll to the bottom if you prefer to make it in UK terms.
