I love the spring and summer months because it means more of light weight wears. I decided to add this crochet diamond mesh top with its distinctive filet design to my list of summer tops as it is very light and perfect for summer. This diamond mesh crochet top pattern will definitely be a lovely extra to your closet.
Design
This cute crochet diamond top features the diamond shape in both filet design and also in double crochet next to each other diagonally. The top and shoulder area are made in filet crochet or crochet mesh. It is worked bottom up. The front and back panels are made separately and then joined at the shoulders and sides.
Beginner Friendly
This diamond mesh crochet top makes use of mainly the double crochet stitch, which is a very basic crochet stitch. The PDF pattern gives instructions for different sizing options and also a chart to help with how to crochet the diamonds.
Yarn
I used DK weight yarn for this crochet top pattern. You can use any DK weight yarn of your choice. It even looks good in verigated yarn like this one below.
Sizes
This easy filet crochet top contains instructions for 4 sizing options, which are bust 30 – 34(36-40, 42-44, 46-48)
This blog post contains instructions for bust 36 – 40 only. If you would like to make the crochet diamond mesh top in other sizes, you can find the Ad-free printable PDF pattern in my Ravelry, LoveCrafts, Ko-fi and Etsy stores.

Finishing
Place both panels together with the right sides facing. (I used the first row of each panel to determine the right side). Making sure that the rows align, sew from the bottom of the top to row 33 on both sides
For the shoulders, make sure the 13 stitches of each shoulder of the front panel aligns with the 13 stitches at the shoulders of the back panel counting from the edges.
