Fast and Easy Crochet Baby Booties | Free Pattern

This is another unisex baby booties design, This design is use two complementing colours, it could be made in a single colour but looks even better when you use two colours. It so easy to make and the final result is stunning.

With this pattern, you can make cute unisex baby booties just working in rows and it’s more convenient and faster than working in the round and you can be sure that your booties will come out the same size. Heck Yeah! You won’t have to make a third bootie just to have two match up! This crochet baby booties pattern will be a great for baby shower gifts and newborn gifts.

DESIGN

This is an adorable crochet baby booties pattern. The soles are made first, then the upper part of the crochet booties and we finish with ribbed part and then a tie to secure the booties to your baby’s feet.

BEGINNER FRIENDLY

This easy crochet baby booties pattern uses basic crochet stitches like single crochet and double crochet. It is a very beginner friendly pattern. It also has a video tutorial to make it easier for visual learners.

WORKED IN ROWS

With this crochet baby booties pattern, you can make cute crochet baby booties just working in rows and it’s more convenient and faster than working in the round and you can be sure that your crochet baby booties will come out the same size. Heck Yeah! You won’t have to make a third bootie just to have two match up! This crochet baby booties pattern will be a great for baby shower gifts and newborn gifts.

YARN

I used worsted weight yarn for this easy crochet baby booties pattern. You can use any worsted weight yarn of your choice, in a single colour or two colors like I did.

SIZES

The Ad-Free PDF pattern of this crochet baby booties pattern contains three sizing options. 0-3, 3-6 and 6-9 months sizes which are 3.5(4.0,4.5) inches sole measurements. The 0-3 size is written below.

18 stitches /16 rows = 10 cm/4 inches in Hdc

Stitches:

Ch:  Chain

Sc: Single Crochet

Hdc: Half double crochet

Dc2tog: Double crochet two together

Slst: Slip stitch

Fpdc: Front post double crochet

Bpdc: Back post double crochet

  • Ch 1 or Ch 2 at the beginning of the row does not count as a stitch

Pattern:

Ch 25

Row 1: 1 Sc in the 2nd chain from the hook, Mark the stitch with a stitch marker,  1 Sc  in each stitch across. 24 stitches.

Row 2: Ch 2, 2 Hdc in the 1st stitch, mark the very first stitch, 1 Hdc in the next 8 stitches, 2 Hdc in each of the next 6 stitches, 1 Hdc in the next 8 stitches, 2 Hdc in the last stitch. 32 stitches.

Row 3: Ch 2,  2 Hdc in the 1st stitch, mark the very first stitch, 1 Hdc in the next  30 stitches,  2 Hdc in the last stitch, finish the last Hdc with Slst with colour B 34 stitches.

Row 4:  (With colour B) 1 Sc in the front loop only of the 1st stitches, mark stitch, 1 SC in the front loops only in each stitch across 34 stitches.

Row 5:  1 Hdc in the 1st stitch, mark stitch, 1 Hdc in each stitch across 34 stitches.

Row 6: Ch 1, 1 Sc in the 1st stitch, mark stitch, 1 Sc in the next 8 stitches, 1 Hdc in the next 4stitches, Dc2tog 4 times, 1 Hdc in the next 4 stitches,  1 Sc in the last 9 stitches. 30 stitches.

Row 7: Ch 1, 1 Sc in the 1st stitch, mark stitch, 1 Sc in the next 8 stitches,  1 Hdc in the next 4 stitches , Dc2tog 2 times, 1 Hdc in the next 4 stitches,  1 Sc in the last 9 stitches. 28 stitches.

Row 8: Ch 1, 1 Sc in the 1st stitch, mark stitch, 1 Sc in the next 7 stitches, 1 Hdc in the next 4 stitches , Dc2tog 2 times, 1 Hdc in the next 4 stitches,  1 Sc in the last 8 stitches. 26 stitches.

Row 9: Ch 2, 1 Hdc in 1st stitch , mark stitch, 1 Hdc in all stitches across. Finish last Hdc with Slst with Colour A 26 stitches.

Row 10: With Colour A, Ch 2, FPDC around the 1st Hdc of previous row, BPDC around the next stitch *FPDC in next stitch, BPDC in next stitch*. Repeat across row. End with BPDC, end the last BPDC with Slst with Colour B 26 stitches.

Note: If you have trouble with FPDC and BPDC. You can work rows of double crochet instead.

Row 11: With Colour B, Ch 2, FPDC around the 1st Hdc of previous row, BPDC around the next stitch *FPDC in next stitch, BPDC in next stitch*. Repeat across row. End with BPDC, end the last BPDC with Slst with Colour A 26 stitches.

Row 12: Repeat row 10 and cut yarn.

FINISHING

With right sides facing, sew up seam, the part with Colour A should be sewn with Colour A yarn, the part with Colour B should be sewn with Colour B  yarn. Weave in ends.
