This cute crochet unisex baby booties is also worked flat. It works up easy. It gives the baby’s feet extra warmth and the button detailing add more beauty to it.

With this pattern, you can make cute baby booties just working in rows and it’s more convenient and faster than working in the round and you can be sure that your booties will come out the same size. Heck Yeah! You won’t have to make a third bootie just to have two match up! This crochet baby booties pattern will be a great for baby shower gifts and newborn gifts.

Materials:

3.5 mm crochet hook

Worsted weight yarn – 100g

Stitch markers (Optional)

Yarn needle

2 buttons

Difficulty:

Advanced beginner.

Gauge :

18 stitches /16 rows= 10 cm/4 inch square in Sc

Stitches:

Ch:  Chain

Sc: Single Crochet

Hdc: Half double crochet

Dc2tog: Double crochet two together

Pattern Notes:

  • Ch 1 or Ch 2 at the beginning of the row does not count as a stitch.
  • The bootie is worked flat
  • The bootie is worked buttom up

Pattern Instructions:

Ch 25

Row 1: 1 Sc in the 2nd chain from the hook, Mark the stitch with a stitch marker,  1 Sc  in each stitch across. 24 stitches.

Row 2: Ch 2, turn. 2 Hdc in the 1st stitch, mark the very first stitch, 1 Hdc in the next 8 stitches, 2 Hdc in each of the next 6 stitches, 1 Hdc in the next 8 stitches, 2 Hdc in the last stitch. 32 stitches.

Row 3: Ch 2,  turn. 2 Hdc in the 1st stitch, mark the very first stitch, 1 Hdc in the next  30 stitches,  2 Hdc in the last stitch, 34 stitches.

Row 4:  Ch 1, turn. 1 Sc in the front loop only of the 1st stitches, mark stitch, 1 SC in the front loops only in each stitch across 34 stitches.

Row 5:  Ch 2, turn. 1 Hdc in the 1st stitches, mark stitch, 1 Hdc  in each stitch across 34 stitches.

Row 6: Ch 1, turn. 1 Sc in the 1st stitch, mark stitch, 1 Sc in the next 8 stitches, 1 Hdc in the next 4 stitches, Dc2tog 4 times, 1 Hdc in the next 4 stitches,  1 Sc in the last 9 stitches. 30 stitches.

Row 7: Ch 1, turn. 1 Sc in the 1st stitch, mark stitch, 1 Sc in the next 8 stitches,  1 Hdc in the next 4 stitches , Dc2tog 2 times, 1 Hdc in the next 4 stitches,  1 Sc in the last 9 stitches. 28 stitches.

Row 8: Ch 1, turn. 1 Sc in the 1st stitch, mark stitch, 1 Sc in the next 7  stitches, 1 Hdc in the next 4 stitches , Dc2tog 2 times, 1 Hdc in the next 4 stitches,  1 Sc in the last 8 stitches. 26 stitches.

LEFT BOOTIE

Row 9: Ch 2, turn. Hdc in the 1st stitch and in the next 8 stitches. 9 stitches.

Row 10-13: repeat row 9. 9 stitches.

Row 14: Ch 1, turn. Sc in each stitch across. Ch 1 and cut yarn. 9 stitches.

Rejoin yarn to the other end of the bootie from row 8 with a slip knot.

Row 9: Ch 2,  Hdc in the 1st stitch and in the next stitches, Ch 7

Row 10: Hdc in the 3rd chain from hook and in the remaining chains, Hdc in all stitches from the previous row. 22 stitches

Row 11: Ch 2, turn. Hdc in each stitch across. 22 stitches

Row 12: Ch 2, turn. Hdc in first 2 stitches, Ch 1, skip 1, (button hole created) Hdc in the remaining 19 stitches.

Row 13: Ch 2, turn. Hdc in each stitch across including the Skipped stitch. 22 stitches

Row 14: Ch 1, turn. Sc in each stitch across. Ch 1 and cut yarn. 22 stitches

RIGHT BOOTIE

Row 9: Ch 2, turn. Hdc in the 1st stitch and in the next 16 stitches, Ch 7

Row 10: Hdc in the 3rd chain from hook and in the remaining chains, Hdc in all stitches from the previous row. 22 stitches

Row 11: Ch 2, turn. Hdc in each stitch across. 22 stitches

Row 12: Ch 2, turn. Hdc in first 2 stitches, Ch 1, skip 1, (button hole created) Hdc in the remaining 19 stitches.

Row 13: Ch 2, turn. Hdc in each stitch across including the Skipped stitch. 22 stitches

Row 14: Ch 1, turn. Sc in each stitch across. Ch 1 and cut yarn. 22 stitches

Rejoin yarn to the first of the unworked stitches from row 8 (where we left off at row 9)with a slip knot.

Row 9: Ch 2,  Hdc in the same stitch and in each stitch across. 9 stitches.

Row 10: Ch 2, turn. Hdc in the same stitch and in each stitch across. 9 stitches.

Row 11-13: repeat row 10. 9 stitches.

Row 14: Ch 1, turn. Sc in each stitch across. Ch 1 and cut yarn. 9 stitches.

Finishing:

With right sides facing, Sew up seam from the top of the booties down to the sole and  weave in ends.

Attach a button

Finished booties
