I love the design of this adorable crochet hat pattern created by front post t and back post stitches. This hat works up quick and as the option of with or without brim. This hat is also reversible.
DESIGN
The reversible crochet hat pattern achieves the effect with the use of front post and back post stitches. It is worked top down in the round. You can make it with or without the brim.
FAST AND EASY
The reversible crochet beanie works up very fast because it’s a small project and also uses common crochet stitches. It works up in no time. You can make it while watching your favorite show.
YARN
I used Dk weight yarn for this project. I made one in a plain color and another in two colors. You can combine colors however you choose.
SIZES
The reversible crochet beanie has seven sizing options from size 0-3 months up to large adult size. Yes! Everyone in the family can get a similar hat! 0-3 months size
Round 1: Make a magic ring, Ch 2, make 1 Dc into the magic ring , mark stitch, work additional 11 Dc in the ring. Finish the round with a slst to the 1st Dc. (12 Dc)
Round 2: Ch 2, 2 Dc in the first stitch and in each stitch across. Finish the round with a slst to the 1st Dc. (24 Dc)
Round 3: Ch 2, *make fpdc around the post of the 1st and 2nd stitch, Dc into the 3rd stitch, Bpdc around the post of the 3rd stitch.* Repeat across. Finish the round with a slst to the 1st fpdc. (32 stitches)
Round 4: Ch 2, *make fpdc around the post of the 1st and 2nd stitch, Dc into the 3rd stitch, Bpdc around the post of the 3rd and 4th stitch .* Repeat across. Finish the round with a slst to the 1st fpdc. (40 stitches)
Round 5: Ch 2, *make fpdc around the post of the 1st and 2nd stitch, Bpdc around the post of the 3rd,4th and 5th stitch .* Repeat across. Finish the round with a slst to the 1st fpdc. (40 stitches)
Round 6 – round 20: repeat round 5
Without fold:Stop at row 14, to finish, slst around the hat loosely. Finish the round with a slst to the beginning slst. Ch 1 and cut yarn.
