This is a beautiful yet easy to make crochet baby dress pattern. It uses simple crochet stitches and the pleats are no sew with easy to follow instructions on how to make them and you can be sure your little one will love it. It also make a cute crochet baby gift.
DESIGN
The pleated crochet baby dress pattern is worked top down starting with the yoke, followed by the pleats and then the skirt part is made, then the skirt edging which is a simple single crochet row, the puff sleeves are then made, then you close the back opening with zipper or buttons, if you prefer, and finally, add any embellishments of your choice or you can choose not to and your adorable crochet baby ball dress is ready!
ADORABLE
Adorable doesn’t being to describe this crochet baby girl dress, the pleats are full, adding to its beauty and gives it volume without weighing too much, it’s cute and gives more than enough room for movement.
NO SEW PLEAT
Crochet pleats are mostly sewn in place but you don’t have to worry about that. The pleats are made as you crochet along with easy to follow instructions. It’s quite easy to make once you you get the hang of it.
YARN
I used two strands of fingering weight yarn in two complementary color for this crochet baby dress pattern, but just one strand of fingering weight for the skirt part, just so it is light. You can make yours in two colors or choose to use a single color or more colors. I’m sure it will turn out beautiful.
SIZES
The crochet pleated baby dress has six sizing options, 0-12(1-2,3-4,5-6,7-8,9-10) years. This blog post contains instructions for size 0-12 months.
