      I love the spring and summer months because it means more of light weight wears. I decided to add this diamond summer top with its distinctive filet design to my list of summer tops as it is very light and perfect for summer. This top will definitely be a lovely extra to your closet.

  • Dk weight yarn
  • 5 mm crochet hook
  • Scissors
  • Tapestry Needle
  • Stitch Markers

GAUGE

15 stitches /8 rows = 10 cm/4 inches in Dc

BUST SIZE

  • 30-34 (36-40, 42-44, 46-48) inches

DC: Double Crochet

Pattern Notes

  • Ch 2 at the beginning of the row does not count as a stitch.
  • The Ch 1 spaces in the project counts as stitches.
  • In the attach pdf chart. The black blocks represent Dc stitches and the white blocks represents Ch 1 spaces.
  • Top is worked bottom up
  • For sizes 30-34 (36-40, 42-44) if you want the top longer than 22 inches, you can do an additional repeat of row 2-9 to make it 26 inches long.

   PATTERN INSTRUCTIONS

Front Panel

Ch 63(73,83,93)

Row 1: Dc in the 3rd chain from the hook and in the next 4 stitches (5 Dc) * Ch 1, skip 1, Dc in the next 9 stitches* repeat till you have 6 chains left. Ch 1, skip 1, Dc in the last 5 chains. 61(71,81,91) stitches.

Row 2: Ch 2, turn. Dc in the first stitch and in the next 3 stitches (4 Dc) *Ch 1, skip 1, Dc in the next stitch, Ch 1, skip 1, Dc in the next 7 stitches* repeat till you have 7 stitches left. Ch 1, skip 1, Dc in the next stitch, Ch 1, skip 1, Dc in the last 4 stitches. 61(71,81,91) stitches.

Row 3: Ch 2, turn. Dc in the first stitch and in the next 2 stitches (3 Dc) *Ch 1, skip 1, Dc in the next stitch, Ch 1, skip 1, Dc in the next stitch,Ch 1, skip 1, Dc in the next 5 stitches* repeat till you have 8 stitches left. Row 44-53: repeat row 42

Finishing

Place both panels together with the right sides facing. (I used the first row of each panel to determine the right side). Making sure that the rows align, sew from the bottom of the top to row 33(41) on both sides

For the shoulders, make sure the 9(13,17,17) stitches of each shoulder of the front panel aligns with the 9(13,17,17) stitches at the shoulders of the back panel counting from the edges.
