Crochet Alpine Baby Booties

This fast and easy crochet baby alpine booties pattern uses the crochet alpine stitch for the beautiful upper part of the booties. It is very cute and beginner friendly.

This is another crochet baby booties worked flat design, that compliments the alpine baby bonnet. This alpine stitch used in this design gives it a unique look. This crochet baby booties uses two complementing colours, it could be made in a single colour but looks even better when you use two colours. It so easy to make and the final result is stunning.

With this pattern, you can make cute unisex baby booties just working in rows and it’s more convenient and faster than working in the round and you can be sure that your booties will come out the same size. Heck Yeah! You won’t have to make a third bootie just to have two matchup! This crochet baby booties pattern will be a great for baby shower gifts and newborn gifts.

Materials:

3.5 mm crochet hook

Dk weight yarn

Colour A = pink

Colour B = grey

Stitch markers (Optional)

Yarn needle

Advanced beginner

Stitches (US Version):

Ch:  Chain

Sc: Single Crochet

Hdc: Half double crochet

Dc: Double crochet

Dc2tog: Double crochet two together

Slst: Slip stitch

Fpdc: Front post double crochet

Pattern notes

Pattern Instructions:

Ch 25

Row 1: 1 Sc in the 2nd chain from the hook, Mark the stitch with a stitch marker,  1 Sc  in each stitch across. 24 stitches.

Row 2: Ch 2, 2 Hdc in the 1st stitch, mark the very first stitch, 1 Hdc in the next 8 stitches, 2 Hdc in each of the next 6 stitches, 1 Hdc in the next 8 stitches, 2 Hdc in the last stitch. 32 stitches.

Row 3: Ch 2,  2 Hdc in the 1st stitch, mark the very first stitch, 1 Hdc in the next  30 stitches,  2 Hdc in the last stitch, finish the last Hdc with Slst with colour B 34 stitches.

Row 4:  (With colour B) 1 Sc in the front loop only of the 1st stitches, mark stitch, 1 Sc in the front loops only in each stitch across 34 stitches.

Row 5:  1 Hdc in the 1st stitch, mark stitch, 1 Hdc in each stitch across 34 stitches.

Row 6: Ch 1, 1 Sc in the 1st stitch, mark stitch, 1 Sc in the next 8 stitches, 1 Hdc in the next 4 stitches, Dc2tog 4 times, 1 Hdc in the next 4 stitches,  1 Sc in the last 9 stitches. 30 stitches.

Row 7: Ch 1, 1 Sc in the 1st stitch, mark stitch, 1 Sc in the next 8 stitches,  1 Hdc in the next 4 stitches , Dc2tog 2 times, 1 Hdc in the next 4 stitches,  1 Sc in the last 9 stitches. 28 stitches.

Row 8: Ch 1, 1 Sc in the 1st stitch, mark stitch, 1 Sc in the next 7 stitches, 1 Hdc in the next 4 stitches , Dc2tog 2 times, 1 Hdc in the next 4 stitches,  1 Sc in the last 8 stitches. 26 stitches.

Row 9: Ch 1, 1 Sc in 1st stitch , mark stitch, 1 Sc in all stitches across. 26 stitches.

Row 10: Ch 1, 1 Sc in 1st stitch , mark stitch, 1 Sc in all stitches across. 26 stitches.

Row 11:  Ch 2, 1 Dc in 2nd stitch, 1 Dc in all the remaining stitches across. 26 stitches.

Row 12:  Ch 1, 1 Sc in 1st stitch , mark stitch, 1 Sc in all stitches across. 26 stitches.

Row 13: Ch 2, make Fpdc around the post of the 2nd stitch, make Dc into the 3rd stitch, *make Fpdc around the post of the next stitch, make Dc into the stitch after *  finish row with 1 Dc into each of the last two stitches. 26 stitches.

Row 14:  Ch 1, 1 Sc in 1st stitch , mark stitch, 1 Sc in all stitches across. 26 stitches.

Row 15: Ch 2, Dc into the 2nd stitch, make Fpdc around the post of the 3rd stitch from Row 13, make Dc into the 4th stitch, *make Fpdc around the post of the next stitch from row 13, make Dc into the stitch after *  finish row with  Dc into the last  stitch. 26 stitches. Ch 1 and cut yarn.

FINISHING

With right sides facing, sew up seam, the part with Colour A should be sewn with Colour A yarn, the part with Colour B should be sewn with Colour B  yarn. Weave in ends.

Make a chain of 80 to tie around the booties.
