This is my first ever crochet baby girl shoe design. So after designed my first crochet baby booties pattern, I decided to make another design specifically for girls, and that was when I came up with the baby girl booties worked flat pattern. It so easy to make and the final result is stunning.

DESIGN

This easy crochet baby shoes has the strap around the baby’s ankle. So it fits perfectly and stays on. It is a very simple crochet baby shoes design. You can decide to add an embellishment at the front of add to it’s beauty. This easy crochet baby shoes is made using two complementary colors of yarn you can however make it in just one color of you prefer.

EASY

This crochet baby shoes is very beginner friendly. It is worked in rows, all you have to do is to sew it up once done and you will have two shoes of the same size. Heck Yeah! You won’t have to make a third bootie just to have two match up! This crochet baby girl shoes will be great for baby shower gifts and newborn gifts.

YARN

I used worsted weight yarn in two complementary colors for for this fast and easy crochet baby shoes pattern. You can use any worsted weight yarn of your choice.

SIZES

This beginner friendly crochet baby shoes pattern contains instructions for 3 sizing options which are 0-3(3-6,6-9) months, which are 3.5(4.0,4.5) inches sole

Worsted weight yarn in two complementing colours

 3.5  mm cr ochet hook

Scissors

18 stitches /16 rows= 10 cm/4 inch square in Sc

Ch:  Chain

Sc: Single Crochet

Hdc: Half double crochet

Dc2tog: Double crochet two together

Slst: Slip stitch

Pattern Notes

Pattern Instructions

With colour A, Ch 25

Row 1: 1 Sc in the 2nd chain from the hook, Mark the stitch with a stitch marker,  1 Sc  in each stitch across (24 stitches)

Row 2: Ch 2, 2 Hdc in the 1st stitch, mark the very first stitch, 1 Hdc in the next 8 stitches, 2 Hdc in each of the next 6 stitches, 1 Hdc in the next 8 stitches, 2 Hdc in the last stitch. (32 stitches)

Row 3: Ch 2,  2 Hdc in the 1st stitch, mark the very first stitch, 1 Hdc in the next 30 stitches,  2 Hdc in the last stitch, finish the last Hdc with SS with colour B ( 34 stitches).

Row 4:  (With colour B) 1 Sc in the front loop only of the 1st stitches, mark stitch, 1 SC in the front loops only in each stitch across(34 stitch

Row 5:  1 Hdc in the 1st stitch, mark stitch, 1 Hdc in each stitch across(34 stitches

Row 6: Ch 1, 1 Sc in the 1st stitch, mark stitch, 1 Sc in the next 8 stitches, 1 Hdc in the next 4 stitches , Dc2tog 4 times, 1 Hdc in the next 4 stitches,  1 Sc in the last 9 stitches. (30 stitches)

Row 7: Ch 1, 1 Sc in the 1st stitch, mark stitch, 1 Sc in the next 8 stitches,  1 Hdc in the next 4stitches , Dc2tog 2 times, 1 Hdc in the next 4 stitches,  1 Sc in the last 9 stitches. (28 stitches

LEFT SHOE

Row 8: Ch 1, 1 Sc in the 1st stitch, mark stitch, 1Sc in the next 7 stitches (8 Sc), then chain 13

Row 9: Skip first chain, 1 sc in the next chain,mark stitch, 1 Sc in remaining 11 chains, 1 sc in each of the 8 sc of previous row.

Row 10:  Ch 1, 1 sc in the 1st stitch, 1 Sc in each of the remaining stitches till the end of row (20 stitches), chain 4, SS to the first row of strap, turn and work 7 Sc in the chain space.

Row 11: 1 Sc in each stitch till the end of row, cut yarn (Strap completed).

On the other side of the shoe, rejoin yarn with a SS.

Row 8: Chain 1, Sc  in the 1st stitch, mark stitch, 1 sc in next 7 stitches (8 Sc)

Row 9 – 11: Repeat row 8, cut yarn, left shoe completed!

RIGHT SHOE

Work the pattern till row 7,

Row 8: Chain 1, Sc  in the 1st stitch, 1 sc in next 7 stitches (8 Sc)

Row 9 – 11: Repeat row 8, cut yarn,

On the other side of the shoe, rejoin yarn with a SS.

Row 8: Ch 1, 1 Sc in the 1st stitch, mark stitch, 1Sc in the next 7 stitches (8 Sc), then chain 13

Row 9: Skip first chain, 1 sc in the next chain,mark stitch, 1 Sc in remaining 11 chains, 1 sc in each of the 8 sc of previous row.

Row 10:  Ch 1, 1 sc in the 1st stitch, 1 Sc in each of the remaining stitches till the end of row (20 stitches), chain 4, SS to the first row of strap, turn and work 7 Sc in the chain space.

Row 11: 1 Sc in each stitch till the end of row, cut yarn (Strap completed).

Finishing

With right sides facing, sew up seam, the part with Colour A should be sewn with Colour A yarn, the part with Colour B should be sewn with Colour B  yarn. Sew on button of your choice.

 To add a decorative edging, Slst in each stitch around the shoes after sewing with Colour A.
