Follow this easy crochet skirt pattern to make this cute, no sew, crochet tennis skirt for your baby.
DESIGN
I must confess, at this point,I think I am obsessed with crochet pleats. This is my third crochet pleated skirt pattern. The other two are crochet pleated baby skirt and crochet pleated high waist skirt.
This crochet tennis skirt features the box pleat, the pleats are no sew crochet pleats like all of my other pleats designs. It is a very easy crochet skirt pattern as it makes use of simple crochet stitches. The skirt is worked top down and in the round.
UNIQUE
The box pleat give this crochet skirt pattern a unique look. It is beautiful, bouncy and you can be sure your kid will have a lot of fun with it.
YARN
I used about 130g of 5 ply milk cotton yarn for the 0-6 months size. The yarn is acrylic and it is so soft. It is great for crocheting baby items. You can use any light worsted weight yarn or Dk weight yarn of your choice for this crochet baby skirt.
MAKE IT YOUR OWN
I made the crochet tennis skirt in a single colour. Some of my tester did the same, another tester did hers in two complementary colours. Then another tester decided to make her niece this “bootiful”, spooky crochet skirt as a witch constume since its halloween!
EASY
This crochet baby skirt in double crochet, front post and back post double crochet for the band part and the rest of the skirt is made in double crochet. This makes it a great pattern for a crochet beginner.
SIZES
The crochet skirt pattern contains instructions for eight sizing options which are 0-6 months,6-12 months, 12-18 months,2T,4T,6T,8T,10T.
