This crochet baby booties looks great in different colour combinations even in neutral colours. This bootie works up in about an hour and is even cutier when you use gender specific colours.
DESIGN
This is a unique crochet baby booties pattern. The soles and made first, then the side, then the button and button hole straps, we then proceed to the middle/top part of this crochet baby booties, then we finish with the middle strap. The end result is a beauty to behold.

CROCHET BABY BOOTIES WORKED IN ROWS
Materials:
3.5 mm crochet hook
Di weight yarn
Colour A = Grey
Colour B = White
Stitch markers

Stitch Guide (US Version) :
Ch: Chain
Sc: Single Crochet
Hdc: Half double crochet
Slst: Slip stitch
Pattern Instructions:
With colour A, Ch 25
Row 1: 1 Sc in the 2nd chain from the hook, Mark the stitch with a stitch marker, 1 Sc in each stitch across. (24 stitches) .
Row 2: Ch 2, 2 Hdc in the 1st stitch, mark the very first stitch, 1 Hdc in the next 8 stitches, 2 Hdc in each of the next 6 stitches, 1 Hdc in the next 8 stitches, 2 Hdc in the last stitch. (32 stitches) .
Row 3: Ch 2, 2 Hdc in the 1st stitch, mark the very first stitch, 1 Hdc in the next 30 stitches, 2 Hdc in the last stitch, finish the last Hdc with SS with colour B (34 stitches).
Row 4: (With colour B) 1 Hdc in the front loop only of the 1st stitches, mark stitch, 1 Hdc in the front loops only in each stitch across, finish the last Hdc with Slst with colour A (34 stitches).
Row 5: Ch 1, 1 Sc in the 1st stitch, mark stitch, 1 Sc in each stitch across (34 stitches) .
Row 6-7: Repeat row 5
Row 8: Ch 1, 1 Sc in the 1st stitch, mark stitch, 1 Sc in each stitch across, finish the last Sc with Slst with colour B (34 stitches).
RIGHT SANDAL
BUTTON HOLE STRAP
Row 1: With Colour B, Ch 1, Sc in the same stitch, mark stitch, 1 Sc in the next 6 stitches (7 stitches) , Ch 15
Row 2: Skip the 1st stitch, 1 Sc in the next chain stitch,1 Sc the remaining 13 chains, 1 Sc in each of the 7 Sc of previous row. (21 stitches).
Row 3: Ch 1, 1 Sc in the 1st stitch and in each stitch till there are 3 stitches remaining, Ch 2, skip 2 stitches, 1 Sc in the last stitch. (21 stitches).
Note:
The Ch 2 space is the button hole, if you are using a bigger button, you can Ch 3, skip 3 and Sc in the last stitch.
Row 4: Ch 1, 1 Sc in the 1st stitch, mark stitch, 1 Sc in each of the 2 Ch stitches, 1 Sc in each of the remaining stitches of previous row. (21stitches) . Cut yarn. Strap completed .
BUTTON STRAP
Row 1: With Colour B, join yarn to the other side of the strap, Ch 1, Sc in the 1st stitch, mark stitch, 1 Sc in the next 6 stitches (7 stitches) .
Row 2: Ch 1, turn, 1 Sc in the 1st stitch, mark stitch, 1 Sc in the next 6 stitches. (7 stitches) .
Row 3: Repeat row 2.
Row 4: Ch 1, turn,1 Sc in the 1st stitch, mark stitch, 1 Sc in the next 6(7,8) stitches 7(8,9) stitches, Cut yarn. Strap completed.
THE MIDDLE PART
From each strap count 7 stitches and mark the centre 6 stitches
Row 1: With Colour A, join yarn with a Slst to the stitch before the marked stitch, Ch 1, 1 Sc in each of 6 stitches, replace stitch markers, Slst in the next 2 unworked stitches
Row 2: Ch 1, 1 Sc in each of the Sc of previous row, skip the stitch that was slipped stitch into in row 1, SS in the next 2 unworked stitches
Row 3-5: Ch 1, 1 Sc in each of the Sc of previous row, skip the 2 stitches that was slipped stitch into in previous row, Slst in the next 2 unworked stitches
Row 6: Ch 1, 1 Sc in each of the Sc of previous row, skip the 2 stitches that was slipped stitch into in previous row, SS in the next unworked stitch.
Note: On both sides there will be 1 stitch left unworked.
MIDDLE STRAP
Row 7: Ch 1, 1 Sc in 1st stitch, each of the remaining 5 Sc from previous row.
Row 8-16: Ch 1, turn, 1 Sc in 1st stitch, 1 Sc in each of the remaining 5 Sc from previous row.
Row 17:Ch 1, turn, 1 Sc in 1st stitch, each of the remaining 5 Sc from previous row, cut yarn strap completed.
THE LEFT SANDAL
After completing row 8 from above, work button strap where button hole strap was worked for right sandal, and work button hole strap where button hole was worked for right sandal. The middle part and middle strap are worked the same, leave a long tail or sewing
FINISHING
Fold the middle strap in half to the wrong side and sew in place
Fold the sandals with right side facing and sew up seam, using appropriate colours. Sew up part made with colour A with colour A and part made with colour B with colour B. Sew buttons in place.
